There comes a time in every business where business models and the way in which they persuade consumers to purchase their product must be re-imagined. There are some professionals in the Energy business that believe this time has come for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). If you have ever used the mapping resource designed by Google - and let's face it, who hasn't? - then you know that Google Maps has typically always shown the world as a flat surface via the Mercator projection. While Google Earth was designed to show users the world as a globe, Google Maps was initially only interested in helping users get to Point B from Point A. The projection employed did not seem to be of the utmost importance for navigating to your next meeting downtown. In a recent upgrade, however, Google Maps now embraces the 3D globe - offering users a more comprehensive and realistic view of the world around them. Learn more about this change as well as the benefits this projection change will offer - especially if you are a true geomatics buff - in this week's #DailyBrainCandiii post.
#DailyBrainCandiii and #WeekliiiRoundUp are inspired by brain candiii, a division of Integrated Informatics that develops Geographic Information System (GIS) training for Energy and Natural Resources professionals.
