It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the month of May - or better yet, the start of the year! Today finds us welcoming June. For most, that means sunshine, vacations, and relaxation. For others? Well, we'll see what is in store! With the ArcGIS Pro 2.2 Beta now open to enrollment through Esri’s Early Adopter Program, we thought it may be helpful to offer a slight nudge in the Pro direction. Imagine that you are trying to find the office of your newest client, contractor, or even employer. The office is in a multi-story building and is home to many other businesses. You successfully used your Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, or [insert favorite navigation app here] to get to the building, but now that you’re inside…where is it? You could read building signs or ask a receptionist to point the way – but what if you could extend those same mapping capabilities to get to the outside of the building on the inside? Dream. Come. True. For those who attended the Esri Petroleum GIS Conference – aka Esri PUG – this past month, you know that indoor mapping is knocking at our door.

The field of Indoor Positioning in Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is still relatively new, but many have already found their own ways to make it a real possibility.
